5 Tips for Organizing Your Coffee and Tea Station

The coffee and tea station - arguably the most important place in the house. All joking aside, many people cherish the early morning hours to enjoy a hot cup of something, and to make the experience even more enjoyable, it’s best to create a station. One where you have everything you need, all in one place. Below, we’re detailing a few simple steps you can take to create your very own coffee and tea station.

Designate an area

First, we must choose an area of your home where the station will make sense. Do you have a drawer that can fit everything? A cabinet right above the coffee machine? Somewhere right by the fridge? Consider the steps you take to actually make a cup of tea or coffee and start there.

Containment is key

Whether you’re storing everything in a drawer or on the counter, containment is what is going to help you make this station highly functional. We are big fans of this tea organizer, as it helps keep flavors separate and visible. Similarly, these bamboo drawer organizers are great for dividing the drawer up into sections for exactly what you need. We use them for Nespresso pods, coffee stirrers, or anything else you may need to make your cup great!

Get rid of bulky packaging, where possible

Save space and take tea packets out of their packaging, as well as your coffee. If you have tea that isn’t singularly packaged, use a pretty jar and display it on your counter. Take a white paint pen and label the outside so you know exactly what’s inside. It doesn’t hurt that doing this makes the entire station look more seamless and less cluttered. You’ll have more room to store everything while everything is out in the open and easily accessible.

Keep your add ins close by

These days, a cup of coffee can have several different things in it. Whether it’s cinnamon, collagen, honey, etc., keep these items within the cabinet, drawer or shelf that your station is in and have everything at the tip of your fingers. When it comes to your mugs and spoons, decide if you want them included in the station or simply in a spot nearby.

Create your routine

Now that your station is set up, it’s time to incorporate it into your routine. Do you leave a mug out? Do you pre-measure your collagen in the cup? What about setting up your kettle on the stove with water? Here’s the thing - your routine isn’t something you should force. Create it to benefit YOU and enjoy the long-lasting benefits of being able to wake up and go to bed knowing you’re doing something for yourself.
